The objective of the Forum is to foster, boost partnerships and exchange experiences, which is fundamental in the face of this moment of profound market changes.

São Paulo, September 14, 2020 - ABES - Brazilian Association of Software Companies formalized the creation of the Business Development Committee. With the objective of fostering and promoting partnerships and the exchange of experiences, the forum will be coordinated by André Elias Gonçalves, from IN - Business Intelligence, with the support of the adviser to the committees Carolina Marzano.

"I am very honored to participate in this movement. Our new Committee aims to promote business and professional development. It is impressive to see how the discussion of relevant topics, the exchange of experiences and the opening to synergies are generating interest and are potentially rich. to benefit both companies and professionals. We now count on the increased involvement of ABES associates ", highlighted André.

The committee has the participation of C-Levels and professionals from the commercial, marketing and sales areas of the associates, with the aim of exploring the potential that the new economy based on digital models provides and how to overcome market challenges. According to IDC (International Data Corporation), the Brazilian IT sector grew 10.5% in 2019, compared to a worldwide growth of 5%. In 2020, the expectation is to grow 6%, while the world is expected to grow around 5.1%. In addition, according to IBOPE, the level of internet penetration in Brazil is 70%, representing the fifth largest market in the world, with approximately 149 million active Internet users, behind only China, India, the United States and Indonesia. On the other hand, the report of the Global Competitiveness Index of the World Economic Forum of 2019, pointed out that Brazil is in the 71st position of 141 countries analyzed, and in the 8th position in Latin America. This index shows that, despite some progress in the last decade, Brazil still has a complex business environment, due to the tax complexity, strong judicialization, and the expensive and time-consuming judicial process.

"In the face of this promising and challenging scenario in the Brazilian market, ABES comes to provide a forum for exchanging experiences and expectations, in order to help its associates to overcome the complexity of the Brazilian market, in addition to working with the main stakeholders to improve the business environment. Therefore, ABES positions itself as a platform, in which the most varied services and products are offered to members ", highlights Rodolfo Fücher, president of the entity.

Other committees focused on matters of interest to the technology sector and technology users are maintained by the association. With this, ABES has the purpose of contributing to the construction of a more digital and less unequal Brazil, in which technology plays a fundamental role for the democratization of knowledge, and the creation of new opportunities, seeking to provide a better quality of life for all and all, in an inclusive and equal way.

Following the evolution of the market, ABES recently expanded the scope of representation. In addition to software companies and those that provide, in some way, related services, which were traditionally represented, we include two new categories of members: (i) companies that use software intensively and (ii) those interested in the information technology sector in general. In this way, we now count on the participation of companies linked to digital platforms, including xTechs (EduTechs, HealthTechs, LawTechs, FinTechs, AgroTechs, etc.) and also incubators, accelerators and investment funds, as they are important agents in strengthening innovation and dynamism of the Brazilian market.
