Guarantee your spot! ABES SOFTWARE CONFERENCE 2019 will bring together, on October 14, in São Paulo, researchers, authorities, ICT sector executives and opinion leaders to discuss the ways for Brazil to become, increasingly, a vibrant, prosperous and globally competitive economy from creating an ecosystem conducive to innovation and attractive to international actors. The event will take place at the São Paulo Corporate Towers Convention Center (Av. Pres. Juscelino Kubitschek, 1909 - Itaim Bibi), from 8 am to 7 pm. Rodolfo Fücher, president of ABES, informs that “Exponential Business” is the theme of the event this year. “We are experiencing the Fourth Industrial Revolution, the Digital Economy, Society 4.0, all founded on disruption and altering the way we live, work and relate to each other, thanks to technology and revolutionary processes, such as artificial intelligence, internet of things, blockchain, cryptocurrencies, among other innovations. How can we be more actively engaged in this transformation and remain at the forefront of this movement? It is one of the many questions that will guide the debates in this edition of the conference ”. 

The event will be attended by the Director of Innovation and Strategies at Singularity University, Paul Robert, who will address how converging technologies are causing disruptions, transforming the linear way of doing business into the exponential model. Gustavo Ene, Secretary for Development of Industry, Commerce, Services and Innovation, will participate in the panel, which will have Francisco Camargo, chairman of the board of ABES, as moderator of the debates.

Officials and experts from Israel and Silicon Valley, such as the CEO of Israeli IBI-Tech, Daniel Skaba; BayBrazil's CEO, Margarise Correa; and Andrew Tsao, Head Of Global Gateway - Silicon Valley Bank, who will discuss how to identify disruptive businesses in the two main innovation hubs in the world.

Another guest is the director of the OECD (Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development) for Latin America, Dr. Roberto Martínez Yllescas, who will speak about advances in the regulatory environment to ensure the benefits of innovation in socioeconomic development, reducing inequalities. Luciano Ramos, from IDC (International Data Corporation), will present recent data from the study that measures trends in the Brazilian and global technology market.

EY's Global Data Protection Lead (Ernest Young), Dutchman Tony de Bos, will speak about the European Community's experiences with the implementation of the Data Protection Authority and the GDPR. Will be on the panel next to Corinna Schulze, Global Director of Government Relations and Corporate Affairs at SAP; and Christina Montgomery, Vice President and Global Privacy Leader at IBM. 

The schedule is still being closed. The goal is to have a representative of the government, one from the private sector and an expert on the subject participate in each panel. The event will bring together about 350 guests, CEOs, presidents and directors of information technology companies, in addition to government officials, academics and journalists.
