BBM Logística, one of the largest logistics operators in the Mercosur road modal, recently chose the SAP ERP management software, which represents an important step in the company's digital journey.
“The search for a new ERP allows us to scale our operations with more productivity, agility, compliance and quality of information. A rigorous decision-making process led us, SAP, one of the global leaders, to support us in this evolution process ”says André Prado, BBM's CEO. “The ERP implementation project provides a robust foundation necessary to support the business growth strategy”, adds Pedro Neves, CIO at BBM.
Marco Antonio de Modesti, CFO of BBM Logística, says that most of the investments made to accompany the company's growth strategy are focused on Technology and Innovation. "The implementation of the new SAP ERP, prepares BBM to integrate new acquisitions and unify information of the acquired companies, allowing to capture important synergies".
The process of choosing the ERP was very thorough and included the wide participation of executives from BBM and Translovato, according to Bruno Afonso, the company's IT Governance and Processes manager. The beginning of the process demanded an understanding of the business guidelines and the mapping of requirements and considered the expectations for the evolution of the company's positioning in the coming years.
The forecast is that the software implementation will be completed in the first half of 2021, bringing the application of best practices in the administrative and financial processes of the group, facilitating the expansion of the model in new acquisitions.
