Experts from Microsoft, Accenture, Banco Votorantim and CLM will debate the theme on Wednesday, 22

São Paulo, July 17, 2020 - The world is undergoing changes in routine and in the professional environment. In a short time, companies from different sectors of activity had to adopt measures to not stop operations during and minimize the impacts of the crisis generated by the Covid-19 pandemic. Teleworking was one of the first actions widely incorporated. But it is necessary to take some precautions so that the company does not commit compliance failures.

For Rodolfo Fücher, president of ABES, working remotely has always been a challenge for enterprises in the world, mainly because it requires more investments in data security and support for employees who work far from organizations. "With access to the internet, anyone can carry out their activities from anywhere in the world and at any time, but this initiative requires high demands from the market for new solutions and technological security. With this new totally virtual environment, businesses will have to deal with flexible planning and a culture and management that promotes business optimization ", reveals the executive.

In this context, ABES - Brazilian Association of Software Companies conducts yet another series of the "New Times" webinar and, this time, legal experts and executives will address compliance measures that should be applied to the business in view of the virtualization of activities. The event, promoted in partnership with Bertha Capital, BR Angels, Bossa Nova Invest, Kyvo and Startup Farm, partners of the ABES Startup Internshinp Program project, takes place on July 22, at 2:30 pm. Registration is free and must be done on the website http://www.sympla.com.br/abessoftware.

According to Carolina Marzano, Compliance Officer and advisor to ABES Committees, companies that have structured compliance measures were able to better circumvent the impacts of the pandemic. "In the current scenario, companies have had to deal with economic instability and the alteration and flexibility of different types of rules and companies that have solid internal policies and guidelines are managing to face the challenges without losing communication with the teams".

With the objective of joining forces, technologies and intelligence to face the challenges, ABES is promoting actions to establish a close and continuous relationship with the associates and those interested in the sector, based on the various means that information and communication technologies offer.

In addition to the Novos Tempos webinar series, which is available on ABES 'YouTube channel, the entity developed a specific action plan, requesting economic measures with the Federal Government to mitigate the impacts and help in the continuity of business, improving cash flow , postponing the payment of taxes and less bureaucratic access to credit lines.

To support companies in the ICT sector in the return of their employees to the offices, the association provides a booklet and a poster for free download, based on the Health Protocol of Operation of the Essential Sectors of Technology, Telecom and Call Center, developed by the City Hall from Sao Paulo.
