Public notice reserves US$ 3 million for the development of joint projects between Brazilian and Czech companies

 

The Brazilian Industrial Research and Innovation Company (EMBRAPII) and the National Service for Industrial Learning (Senai) signed an agreement with the Technology Agency of the Czech Republic (TACR) in the total amount of US$ 3 million (US$ 1.5 million from each country ). The objective of the initiative is to stimulate technology transfer in areas linked to industry 4.0 for joint projects. The call for proposals is open until August 22.
 
Participating projects must have market potential and add value to the economies of Brazil and the Czech Republic. Interested parties must submit their proposals in English with the participation of at least one company from each country and an EMBRAPII Unit linked to Senai. Currently, there are 11 accredited Senai Innovation Institutes.
 
“The agreement is in line with EMBRAPII's strategy of promoting permanent international interaction between its Units and the entry of Brazilian companies into the international market. We have already had a lot of success in partnerships with the United Kingdom, Germany and Israel”, highlights José Luis Gordon, director of Planning and Management at EMBRAPII.
 
The projects presented must be focused on the development of new technologies in the areas of Applied Laser Technologies, Additive and Subtractive Manufacturing; Smart Factories focused on Industrial Demonstration (Advanced Manufacturing and Industry 4.0); Mobile, Autonomous and Collaborative Robotics, including Sensor Technologies, Computer Vision, Internet of Things, Artificial Intelligence and Predictive Maintenance; Energy 4.0 with a focus on mobility and electrical/smart recycling; smart cities, farms and mining.
 
The executive manager of innovation and technology at SENAI, Marcelo Prim, explains that the public notice is an opportunity to integrate the innovation network. “In addition to being another step towards internationalizing the networks of the SENAI Institutes of Innovation, we have made the Brazilian industry more competitive with this technological bridge”, he says. “With this work, we were able to internalize and develop new knowledge within SENAI, with the partnership of EMBRAPII and the Technology Agency of the Czech Republic. After that, we share this information and technologies with companies, including startups, who through Industry 4.0 technologies are able to leverage their business.”
