26th edition was held in 6 thousand large and medium-sized companies

 
GVcia, Center for Applied Information Technology at the São Paulo School of Business Administration of the Getúlio Vargas Foundation (FGV / EAESP), released the results of the 26th edition of the Annual Brazilian Market Survey of IT and Use in Business.
 
The survey was conducted in 6 thousand large and medium-sized companies with 2,340 valid responses. GVcia is considered a reference center in the area and brings in its research unpublished and interesting numbers, portraying the current scenario and the trends of this environment, being a valuable contribution to business and academic circles.

Research Highlights
 
· For the first time in 30 years, the annual sale of computers fell, from 10% in 2014 to 20,400,000. For 2015, FGV estimates 22 million, 8% grows, more than half tablets.
 
· According to the FGV survey, today there are 152 million computers in use in Brazil: 3 computers for every 4 inhabitants (75% per capita), 24 million are tablets.
 
· Smartphones in use have just overtaken computers in use in Brazil, both with a density of 75% per capita, in May 2015.
 
· There are 306 million devices connectable to the Internet in Brazil (152 million computers and 154 million smartphones), that is, 3 devices for every 2 inhabitants!
 
· IT Spending and Investment grew to 7.6% of corporate revenue.
 
· The Annual Cost per User (IT Spending and Investments in the year divided by the number of users) continues to grow and reached R$ 29,100.00.
 
· Microsoft has dominated the Windows, Office and Explorer workstation for 20 years, accounting for more than 90% of usage.
 
· In the next two years, we will have one computer per inhabitant: 208 million in 2017/8.
 
· Brazil, is above the world average per inhabitant in computers, TVs and phones.
· TVs in Brazil: 104% per capita, more than 1 per inhabitant (36% above the world average).
 
· The Integrated Management Systems of TOTVS, SAP and Oracle have 82% in the market. TOTVS leads in total and in the smallest companies and SAP in the largest.
 
· Analytical Intelligence is responsible for a significant part of the profits of major manufacturers: SAP, Oracle, TOTVS, Microsoft and IBM, in this order, are the leaders with 83%.
 
· New sectorial IT usage indicators, such as Annual IT Cost per Bed in Hospitals.
 
· In the publicly traded industries, over the past decade, for every 1% more of IT Spending and Investment, after 2 years, profit increased by 7%.
