System developed by Serpro now requires less information to be filled in and CPF becomes the only worker identification

The Federal Government has simplified eSocial, a digital bookkeeping system for tax, social security and labor obligations, which gathers information from around 40 million employees and almost 6 million employers from all over the country. Changes in eSocial reduce bureaucracy and make it easier for millions of companies that use the technology. The novelty was launched by President Jair Bolsonaro, last Thursday, 22, in a ceremony at the Planalto Palace. The event was attended by the president of Serpro, Gileno Barreto, the director of Customer Relationship at Serpro, André de Cesero, and the manager of Solutions for Serpro's Management Bodies, Alexandre Ávila.

“There is no question of politics. It is just the removal of bureaucracy to improve the business environment ”, evaluated the Secretary of Social Security and Labor of the Ministry of Economy, Bruno Bianco. Now, the form has fewer fields and uses only the CPF as a way to identify the worker. Information from other documents, such as PIS and Pasep, is automatically obtained from the crossing of data from the information bases hosted by Serpro.

“We offer our intelligence to simplify the life of the Brazilian citizen. In eSocial, we use Data Analysis and Big Data technology to facilitate data filling and improve the user experience, which has a service through chatbot and mobile services ”, said André de Cesero. Serpro has also been working with commercial boards from all over the country to allow workers, when registering with the company, to be registered with eSocial. "The forecast is that the first agreements will start to take effect from the beginning of next year," stated Alexandre Ávila.

For Gileno Barreto, the news from eSocial are the result of the effort and commitment of the Serpro team with the government's project to promote the country's digital transformation. “ESocial is a historic project that changed the relationship between employees and employers. We are working to ensure the continuous evolution of the system and to increasingly facilitate this relationship that is so important for Brazil, ”he said.

ESocial Numbers

The system currently serves more than 1.5 million domestic employers (individuals) and around 4.3 million companies across the country. The solution gathers information from about 40 million workers, simplifying the provision of information regarding tax, social security and labor obligations.

ESocial allows integration between different areas of the company, such as HR, accounting, personnel department, among others, making the institution's processes more transparent both for the government and for its customers and suppliers. A survey conducted by the Ministry of Economy shows that more than 70% of users consider the experience with eSocial to be better or much better than before.

System users have integration services with corporate management software; Web portals for companies and citizens to access; mobile application to bring mobility to employee management; chatbot to answer questions from domestic employers; data pool to make it possible to consume eSocial data; and download service to enable companies / employers to retrieve information sent to eSocial.

Debureaucratization

The new simplified eSocial meets the forecast of the Economic Freedom Act and had the participation of representatives of the professional categories involved, such as Sebrae and the Federal Accounting Council. At the ceremony, the government also announced the program “Descomplica Trabalho”, which should review up to 2,000 documents from the former Ministry of Labor, in addition to revoking 48 ordinances and signing a new rule that regulates the health and safety of agribusiness workers.
