Conference presented HCM and Business Outlook tools

In addition to the numbers and data on investments in the software and services sector in Brazil, presented by Anselmo Gentile, executive director of ABES, who detailed a study on the Brazilian Software and Services Market 2016 (check the article), Carlos Alberto Sacco, marketing director at ABES, presented another study carried out by the entity in partnership with Neoway: Panorama of the Business Fabric of the IT Sector, which gathered data from IBGE, RAIS and the Federal Revenue Service. According to the study, based on the National Register of Business Activity – CNAE, the sector employs more than 288,000 professionals in 157,684 companies, of which 17,136 have 1 or more employees.

In his presentation, Sacco detailed data such as productivity, number of open companies, geographic distribution of companies, among others, and made several comparisons. According to the study, nationally, the annual productivity of companies is from R$ 90 thousand to R$ 100 thousand per employee, while in those associated with ABES it is between R$ 150 thousand and R$ 300 thousand. “This is the first and we intend to draw this panorama quarterly. That's why everyone's contribution is very important so that we can improve it and adapt it to the needs of our associates”.

HCM Program

Another initiative supported by ABES, presented at the conference by Edvar Pera Junior, director of the Softex Campinas Center, was the HCM – Human Capital Management Program. He explained that the program started with companies in the interior of São Paulo, through a salary survey in the sector. “We found it difficult to compare the functions, that the remuneration was very different, that there was a lack of career plans or even the descriptions of the activities assigned to each position”, he said.

Based on this initial diagnosis, Núcleo Softex Campinas was able to mobilize 33 companies, which together have 3,674 professionals, to create an online platform, which organizes the data obtained in the mapping of positions and salaries practiced by the participating organizations. “This information becomes a reference when hiring and promoting employees. We want more companies to contribute data for this platform to establish itself as an important tool in the HR process”, he concluded. The program also includes holding regional forums to discuss the best people management practices in the IT sector.

“It is a fantastic event, which opens up a series of opportunities, with lectures given by people who are competent in what they do. I congratulate ABES that surprises us in a positive way and that constitutes an association that wants to help in the construction of a new Brazil. I am a privileged person to be able to participate in an event of this magnitude”, declared José Calil Nassur, director of JC Nassur &Nassur Ltda.
