The technology community WoMakersCode, in partnership with Microsoft, will carry out the Women's Leadership Bootcamp from October 26, an online and free journey that aims to contribute to the career development of women in the labor market. 12 virtual live classes will be offered that will address essential topics such as soft skills, emotional intelligence, work practices, financial education, mindfullness, among others. All classes will be free, transmitted through the platform of WoMakersCode and will have simultaneous interpretation for pounds.

“Diversity is a priority for Microsoft. We have developed several internal and external practices to promote this issue with our employees and society as a whole. Currently, the technology market has a small share of women working in Brazil - around 20%, according to the Global Gender Gap Report. Projects like this are important to change the mentality of this market and to encourage girls and women, not only to choose careers in the technology area, but also to have the necessary confidence to assume leadership positions, whatever their area of activity ”, comments Alessandra Karine, vice president for Public Sector, Education and Health and Leader of Diversity & Inclusion at Microsoft Brazil.

The WoMakersCode community, founded by Cynthia Zanoni, Microsoft's Developer Relations manager in Latin America, holds technical training and personal development meetings, workshops and conferences, in search of gender equality within a mostly male market, as is the case with technology. The Women's Leadership Bootcamp is aimed at women who work in the area, in addition to entrepreneurs, women in career transition, students and those interested in boosting their brand as a leader in general.
