President of the Mixed Parliamentary Front in Defense of the Service Sector and the Former Secretary of Federal Revenue will debate the impact of PL 3,887 / 2020, PE45 and PEC110

São Paulo, August 27, 2020 - The future of the information technology sector, more precisely Brazilian software, with the new tax reform, will be the subject of debate in the webinar of ABES - Brazilian Association of Software Companies. The meeting will take place on August 31, at 11 am, and renowned experts will talk about the complexity of the tax system in Brazil, in addition to analyzing the Bill that proposes the creation of the Contribution on Goods and Services (CBS). Among the participants of the webinar, ABES invited the Federal Deputy of the Progressive Party of Sergipe and president of the Mixed Parliamentary Front in Defense of the Service Sector, Laércio José de Oliveira and the tax consultant and professor at the Brasiliense Institute of Public Law and the School of Law. Judge of the TRF-1, Everardo Maciel. The moderation will be on the part of the political scientist, doctor from UnB and director of Vector Análise, Leonardo Barreto.

"There is no lack of criticism and there are many doubts regarding the theme, that is why we gathered names of great relevance in the areas of tax, services and politics to talk about this PL, in addition to two Proposals for Amendment to the Constitution, which were already in the Legislative, PE45 and PEC110 ", explains Francisco Camargo, chairman of the board of ABES.

Everardo Maciel - He is a tax consultant and professor at the Brasiliense Institute of Public Law - IDP and at the TRF-1 School of Magistrates. He is a member of the International Academy of Law and Economics and of the CNJ Advisory Council. He was Secretary of Finance, Planning and Education of Pernambuco, Secretary of Finance and Planning of the Federal District, Executive Secretary of the Ministries of Education, of the Civil House, of the Interior (today National Integration) and of Finance (currently, Economy). Federal Revenue Secretary, in addition to having held the positions of Minister of Education, Interior and Finance on an interim basis. He also taught at private academic institutions and participated in UN and IMF missions.

Laércio José de Oliveira - Federal deputy of the Progressives of Sergipe party, he is president of the Mixed Parliamentary Front in Defense of the Service Sector. He is currently president of the Fecomércio / SE system, having already been vice president of the National Confederation of Goods, Services and Tourism (CNC). The congressman has a degree in Business Administration and a postgraduate degree in Business Management. It has an outstanding business performance through the MULTSERV Group, a notorious business group in the North and Northeast regions, with 5,000 employees. He was president of the Union of Cleaning and Conservation Companies (SEAC) of Sergipe and of the National Federation of Companies that provide Cleaning Conservation Services.

- Political scientist, doctor from UnB and director of Vector Análise. He is a specialist in political behavior and institutions, with experience in research with parliamentarians, applied analysis and scenario building.
